Did you know?…
Shemp Howard, of Three Stooges fame, appeared in several Abbott & Costello movies: Buck Privates, In the Navy, Hold That Ghost, It Ain’t Hay, and Africa Screams.
Here is a clip from In The Navy, “13 X 7 is 28″, where Shemp Howard plays Dizzy, a fellow sailor. I particularly like the lines:
Abbott: You ever go to school, stupid?
Costello: Yeah and I come out the same way.

Very good well done, but when is Warner Bros Home Entertainment going to release the Shemp Howard Vitaphone shorts as well digitally newly restored and remastered on DVD soon as well as the Universal B musical pictures he had done and other Stooge media needs to clean up just in time for the release of The Farrelly Brothers’ adapation of The Three Stooges for 2012 if you listening to this you knuckleheads, I think Mel Gibson needs to be cast in this film to play the role of Shemp because Gibson does a lookalike of the real Shemp if you ask me he needs to be cast in the sequel if the first film was a hit.
I can hardly wait to see Universal Home Entertainment newly restored and remastered the Abbott and Costello movies made by the studio from 1940 to 1955 on DVD and Blu-Ray in the future for new generations of Abbott and Costello fans out there, But by the way love that scene from In The Navy, I think Shemp Howard of The Three Stooges is wonderful with Bud and Lou together as a trio no one can beat them they were the best.
Very good site you have here but I was curious if you knew of any community forums that cover the same topics discussed here? I’d really love to be a part of online community where I can get advice from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Appreciate it!
